First specimen of Brussels art nouveau was built as early as 1847, it is St. Hubert Galleries.

We recently went to Blankenberge; a Belgian coastel town. It is famous for its stunning Art Nouveau. Especially the tiles.
You can see here, some houses with a tile covered so called 'belle etage'.

Hey everyone! Look what I found and photographed in my travels...

"Old England" - Brussels, Belgium

Designed by Paul Saintenoy in 1898, the "Old England" was a department store constructed with a cast iron and steel structure which allowed for the so much glass in the facade. There is a domed gazebo on the roof and check out that turret to one side!

Today it houses the most enjoyable Musical Instrument Museum which is open to the public.
